Your two paths crossed in Paris, where it was love at first sight. Together, you roamed the city, stumbling upon spots that you would later realise were the most romantic corners of Paris. Yet, when you're exploring with 'the one,' isn't every place touched by a bit of magic?
By sundown, disaster struck. One of you had to leave unexpectedly, with no contact information to go on other than the first letter of your names (you thought this would make it more mysterious—however, in hindsight, that was just plain silly)
Now, you have both decided, as if drawn by some mysterious force, to return to those same places and relive that day in hopes of finding each other again. You take turns recounting your stories while revisiting those places.
