Take a walk along Avenida de Mayo, the historical backbone of Buenos Aires, and discover where it all started for Argentina: Cabildo, Casa Rosada, and La Catedral Metropolitana.
Stroll along the tree-lined boulevards and find Café Tortoni where people have been meeting for coffee, drinks and tango since 1858. Take your time crossing the widest avenue in the world, 9 de Julio, and delight in the European Art Nouveau architecture of the Galería Güemes.

Is this a self-guided walking tour of Buenos Aires?
Yes. You play it on your phone, and the app leads you from place to place through the historic centre around Plaza de Mayo and Avenida de Mayo. It tells the story of each stop and sets a puzzle in what is in front of you. There is no guide and no group to join.
Does it start at Casa Rosada, and where does it finish?
It starts at Casa Rosada and heads past La Pirámide de Mayo, the Cathedral, the Cabildo, Café Tortoni, Avenida 9 de Julio, Palacio Barolo and the Congreso. It finishes at Confitería del Molino, not back at the start, so plan your way onward from there.
How long does the walk take?
Most players take about two hours, including walking and solving the puzzles along the way. The route covers 3.3 km of the city centre. It is best done during the day, and you can slow down at places like Café Tortoni or Galería Güemes if you want to linger.
What does a ticket cover if we play as a group?
One ticket covers the whole group playing together, so friends, couples or a family can follow the route on one game. Everyone walks the same stops and works on the same puzzles at each place.
Do we need to book a start time, and can we pause?
No booking is needed. You can start any time that suits you, and you can pause the game and continue later, for example to stop for coffee along Avenida de Mayo or take a break before crossing Avenida 9 de Julio.
