From the embers of the 1791 Priestley Riots to hidden Victorian cemeteries, you’ll navigate a labyrinth of haunted pubs where the atmosphere is thick with history and the drinks come with a side of mystery.

Yes, but self-guided. Your phone leads you between stops, tells the haunted and historical story of each place, and sets a puzzle based on what is in front of you. There is no guide and no group to join, so you can start whenever you like.
Which pubs are on the haunted pub route?
The route passes The Victoria Pub and Bacchus Bar and finishes at The Trocadero. Along the way you also stop at the Holiday Street aqueduct, The Mailbox, a statue on Hill Street and The Alexandra Theatre, hearing tales of the city's dead and its hidden history.
Where does it start and finish?
The walk starts at postcode B1 2HG and finishes at The Trocadero. It is not a loop, so you end up in a different spot from where you began, which suits groups who want to stay on for a drink at the end.
How long does it take, and can we pause?
Most players take about an hour and 45 minutes, walking and puzzles included, over 1.7 km. The puzzles are rated easy. You can pause at any point, for example for a drink in one of the pubs, and continue later.
Do we need to book a time or pay to play as a group?
