Yes. The walk is built around the Guatemalan legend of La Tatuana, told as a mystery that unfolds from stop to stop alongside historical events and present-day customs of Antigua. At each place you hear its story and solve a riddle using what you can see around you.
Where does the quest start and finish?
It starts at San Francisco el Grande & Iglesia del Hermano Pedro and finishes at the Monumento a Landívar, so it is a one-way route rather than a loop. On the way you pass Tanque La Unión, the Real Palacio de los Capitanes Generales, El Arco de Santa Catalina and Iglesia de la Merced, among other stops.
How long does it take?
Most players take about 2.5 hours, walking and puzzles included, to cover the 2.6 km route. There is no fixed pace, and you can pause the game at any point, stop to browse the artisan market or rest, and continue later.
