Frequently asked questions
Is there an outdoor puzzle game I can play in Algeciras?
Yes. This detective mystery is a self-guided walk played on your phone. The app leads you from place to place, tells the story of each spot and sets a puzzle in what is in front of you while you follow clues to unmask a secret society.
How long does the detective game take and how far do we walk?
Plan on around 90 minutes, covering about 2 km on foot. There is no rush, and you can pause the game at any point and continue later if you want a coffee break or need to stop for the day.
Can we play as a group on one ticket?
Yes, one ticket covers your whole group, up to the number of devices stated for the quest. Friends, couples or a family can solve the clues and codes together, sharing the investigation as you walk.
Do we need to book a start time?
No. There is no group to join and no guide to meet, so you can start whenever it suits you, today or at the weekend. Open the app at the starting point and begin the investigation when you are ready.
Is it suitable for children?
It is aimed at adults and families with teens. The game involves following clues, cracking codes and a story about a secret society manipulating world events, so teenagers who enjoy puzzles will get the most out of it, while younger children may find the codes and the 2 km walk demanding.
What is the Algeciras Detective Mystery about?
A whistleblower pulls you into a fictional conspiracy involving a secret society. You follow the investigation through Algeciras, solving clues before its next plan can unfold.
Is this experience self-guided?
Yes. The Questo app guides you from clue to clue, with no guide or fixed start time. You can begin when it suits you and pause along the way.
How many accesses does our group need?
Classic quests sell access per device and player. Each person who wants to solve clues on their own phone needs their own access.
