About this quest

Muranów, 1936. You are Jan Alter, a humble smith walking home when a mysterious woman recites a chilling poem and offers you an impossible gift: a time turner made of bronze.

In a flash, everything changes. You awaken in the year 2020, in the same district but a different world. To return to your time and your life, you must follow clues scattered across Muranów's streets, uncover echoes of the past, and solve puzzles woven into Warsaw's layered history.

This quest is a journey through memory, time, and resilience. Walk with friends or family, reconnect with stories nearly lost, and discover the secrets that might bring you home.

Post-war Warsaw

A time-machine story in a district transformed by war and rebuilding

Muranów was profoundly transformed by the destruction of Warsaw during the Second World War and by post-war rebuilding. More broadly, Warsaw’s historic centre was reconstructed as an extraordinary act of cultural survival after near-total wartime destruction. The pink horse and time machine are fictional; the district’s changing layers of memory are real. Playable languages: English, German.
