Yes. This self-guided walk is played on your phone and is free to play. The app leads you through 10 stops in the town centre, from Primaria Caracal to Mihai Eminescu, telling the story of each place and setting a puzzle based on what is in front of you.
Where does the walk start and finish?
It starts at Primaria Caracal and finishes at Mihai Eminescu, so it does not return to the start. Along the way you pass Monumentul Eroilor, the MiG-21 Lancer, Teatrul National Caracal, the bust of Toma Rusca, Tudor Vladimirescu, Ceres, Haralamb G. Lecca and Statuia Susurul.
How long does it take and how far is the walk?
Most players take around an hour and a half, including walking and solving the puzzles. The route covers about 1.6 km. You can pause at any point and continue later, so there is no need to finish in one go.
Is it suitable for children?
It is tagged as family friendly and suits school-age children who can read clues and enjoy working out puzzles with an adult. Very young children may find around 90 minutes of walking and thinking too long without breaks, though you can pause whenever you like.
Do we need to book a time or join a group?
