The Chinatown Gate
About The Chinatown Gate
Liverpool's Chinatown Gate, proudly standing at the entrance to Europe's oldest Chinatown, is an ornate symbol of the city's long-standing links with the Chinese community. Gifted by Shanghai, Liverpool's twin city, in 2000, it is the largest Chinese arch outside of China, beautifully adorned with intricate designs and symbolic decorations.
Best time/season to visit: Vibrant during Chinese New Year celebrations but impressive and accessible all year round.
