We were not satisfied with our experience. Our family of three, including a 10-year-old, expected a more engaging and locally relevant experience in Pasadena, especially since it was advertised as “family-friendly.” Yesterday being Halloween, the streets around 8–9 PM were crowded, noisy, and had unpleasant smells, making it difficult to explore the city as the app guided. The puzzles at each location felt disconnected from the surroundings and were challenging to read and solve in such a busy environment. While the app indicated we were “catching ghosts,” it didn’t accurately track our movements, and the streets in Pasadena didn’t feel suitable for this activity. We tried to continue, but ultimately gave up halfway through.
