About Marbella

Questo turns Marbella into a self-guided outdoor game you play at your own pace, following clues through the old town and the streets behind the glossy seafront. Past the marinas and the designer shops, the real Marbella is a small Andalusian quarter of whitewashed houses, cobbled lanes, and shaded squares that has kept its shape since the 16th century.

The heart of it is Plaza de los Naranjos, the Orange Square laid out in 1485 after the city was retaken, ringed by bitter orange trees and the Renaissance town hall. From there the lanes wind past the church of Nuestra Senora de la Encarnacion and the old Moorish city walls, then open onto Avenida del Mar, where ten bronze sculptures by Salvador Dali line the marble walk down to the beach. Parque de la Alameda gives you a green, fountain-cooled pause along the way.

Questo's quests here range from a coin-and-clue street mystery to a story-led mission with a mobster theme, so you read the city like a puzzle instead of ticking off a checklist. It suits couples after an unhurried afternoon, friends who want a bit of competition, and families happy to solve riddles between stops. Questo's Marbella quests are rated 4.78★ across 23 player reviews.

One local detail worth catching: Calle Carmen, lined with bright blue flower pots and geraniums against the white walls, is the most photographed lane in the old town, and it is quietest early in the morning before the day-trippers arrive. Pick a starting point, open the first clue, and let the route pull you through the parts of Marbella most visitors walk straight past.

A taste of the challenge
01 / Word riddle

Name the creature.

I’m a majestic beast, swift and bold,
In fields of green, my tale unfolds.

A noble creature, with hooves that prance,
A symbol of freedom in every glance.

I can move swiftly, by day or night,
Chasing the wind, my spirit takes flight.

Though I may be pure, like snow, of course,
Can you guess what I am with my grace and force?
