The route takes in Teatro alla Scala, Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, the Duomo, Palazzo Reale and the Basilica of San Carlo al Corso. It then turns to the neoclassical palaces, including Palazzo Morando, Palazzo Serbelloni, Villa Reale Belgiojoso Bonaparte (GAM) and Palazzo Rocca Saporiti.
Do I need Teatro alla Scala tickets for this walk?
No. You do not enter any of the places on the route, including La Scala. Each stop is explored from outside, where the app tells its story and sets a puzzle in what you can see. Visiting the interiors would be a separate plan.
Where does it start and how long does it take?
It starts and finishes at Porta Venezia, so it is a loop of about 3.8 km. Plan on roughly two and a half hours. You can start whenever you like and pause, then continue later.
Is it suitable for children?
Yes, as long as children under 12 are guided by their parents through the puzzles and the street crossings. The theme is architecture and history, so it works best for kids who can manage a walk of around two and a half hours.
Could construction work affect the route?
It may. Some checkpoints and parts of the route can be affected by temporary ongoing construction work. The app still leads you from stop to stop, but be ready to look around a little if a spot is partly covered.
