Is this a good way to see Milan at Christmas?
Yes, if you want the decorated centre with stories attached. The route passes Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, Piazza Cordusio, Piazza dei Mercanti and Piazza Duomo, with Christmas trees and festive squares along the way. At each place you hear Christmas legends and curiosities, and you learn how to enjoy panettone like a true Milanese.
Where does the quest start and finish?
It starts at the D Map of the center of Milan for the blind and finishes at the Veneranda Fabbrica del Duomo, so it does not return to the start. In between you pass La Rinascente, Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, Leonardo da Vinci's monument, the Frogs, Piazza Cordusio, Piazza dei Mercanti, Piazza Diaz and Piazza Duomo.
How long does it take, and when is the best time to go?
Most players take just over an hour and a half to cover the 2.3 km, including walking and puzzles. To see the holiday lights, go after dark. You can pause and continue later, and note that temporary construction work may affect parts of the route.
Is it suitable for kids?
Yes, families can play together. The puzzles are set in what is in front of you at each stop, so children can join in looking for answers, but kids under 12 should be guided by their parents. Keep in mind it is 2.3 km on foot, outdoors and ideally in the evening.
Can we play as a group, and do we need to book a time?
One ticket covers the whole group playing together. There is no time slot to book and no group to join: start whenever you like on your phone. No attraction tickets are required for any of the stops along the route.
