You play the hero rushing to save your true love Lily from the evil Ferdinand. The app leads you from stop to stop, tells the story of each place and sets a puzzle in what is in front of you, from an ancient myth at Yanaguana Garden to the Arneson River Theatre.
Is this a self-guided scavenger hunt in San Antonio?
Yes. You play it on your phone with no guide and no group to join. Start any time, walk at your own pace, and pause and continue later if you need a break. Bring a fully charged phone or a power bank, since the app runs the whole route.
Where does the quest start and finish?
It is a loop. You start at the Public Art located in Alcoves and pass La Paz, Yanaguana Garden at Hemisfair, Venue Villita, Arneson River Theatre, the heart-shaped island, Camino de Galvez and more, finishing at Alas de México (Wings of Mexico), back where you began.
How long does it take and how far do we walk?
Most players take about two hours, walking and puzzles included, over roughly 3 km. The puzzles are medium difficulty, and the route has varied terrain and elevation, so it may not suit people with limited mobility. You can pause and pick it up again later.
Can we play as a couple or a group on one ticket?
Yes. One ticket covers the whole group playing together, so a couple shares a single game on one phone. There is no time slot to book: start whenever you are ready and play through the story at your own pace.
