What lesser-known spots and walkable sights in Zurich can I do at the last minute?
This walk needs no booked time slot, so you can start whenever you like. Alongside the big sights, the route takes in places locals know, such as the Polybahn, Thermengasse, Lindenhof and the Old Botanical Garden, over 4.1 km in about 90 minutes.
Does the route pass the Swiss National Bank?
Yes. The Swiss National Bank is one of the stops, reached after the Quai Bridge and just before Paradeplatz. You see it from outside, as the walk does not go into any of the buildings on the route.
Where does the walk start and finish?
It starts and ends at Zurich Main Station, so it is easy to fit around a train arrival or departure. From there the loop crosses to the old town, follows the Limmat to the lake and comes back by way of Paradeplatz.
Do we need tickets for any attractions along the way?
No attraction tickets are needed. Entering the places is not part of the experience: you stay outside at stops like the Grossmünster, the Opera House and the Swiss National Bank, hearing each story and solving the puzzle in front of you.
Can we play as a group and take a break midway?
Yes. One ticket covers your whole group, up to the number of devices stated, and you play on your phones with no guide. You can pause at any point, for a coffee by the lake for example, and pick up where you left off.
