Zurich, 1884. You are Marcel, a curious 6-year-old spending your summer near St. Peter’s Church. But today, the clock has stopped, thunder rumbles in the distance, and a strange man with kind eyes and a violin asks for your help.
You guide him through the city’s cobblestone streets, unaware that he’s Albert Einstein—long before he’ll change the world. As you walk, he teaches you to question time itself, solve mind-bending puzzles, and see the universe in a new light.
This walking adventure is a story of wonder, science, and connection—perfect for families and curious minds. But beware: by the end, you might discover that the greatest mystery… is you.

Yes. ETH is the first stop on the route, and the story is built around places where Einstein studied and lived in Zurich. The walk tells it through the eyes of a child in 1884 who meets a kind stranger with a violin, long before he became famous.
Does the route pass the place where Lenin lived in Zurich?
Yes. The Leninwohnung is one of the stops, between the Sunclock and the Napfbrunnen fountain. It sits on the same walk through the old town that also takes in Das Haus zum Loch, the Fraumünster Church, Paradeplatz and the Veltlinerkeller.
Where does it start and how long does it take?
You start at St Peter's Church and finish back there, so it works as a loop. The route is about 1.6 km with nine stops and takes about an hour at an easy pace. It is best done during the day.
