Is this a self-guided walking tour of Milan?
Yes. You play it on your phone in the Isola district, and the app leads you from stop to stop, tells the story of each place and sets a puzzle in what is in front of you. There is no guide and no group to join, so you can start whenever you like.
Where does the street art walk start and finish?
It starts at the Vertical Forest (Bosco Verticale) towers and finishes at The Egg, on a loop of about 3 km. Along the way you pass the Orticanoodles mural, the Isola Pepe Verde community garden, the Rainbow Tower, the Portraits of the Māori Chiefs, Piazzetta Tito Minniti and the House of Memory.
How long does it take, and can we pause?
Most players take around 2 hours, walking and puzzles included. You can pause at any point and continue later, so a coffee stop in Isola is no problem. It is best played during the day, when the murals and painted shutters are easy to see.
Can we play as a family or a group?
Yes. One ticket covers the whole group playing together on the route. The walk is recommended for families and also suits couples, with puzzles based on the street art and buildings you find along the way through Isola.
Do we need to book a time slot?
No. There is no fixed start time and no guide to meet. Go to the Vertical Forest towers whenever suits you, open the app and begin the route. Daytime is the best time to play, since the quest is outdoors and centred on the artwork.
