Copenhagen is stirring — shadows crawl where light once lived, and forgotten corners echo with words never written.
Centuries ago, Hans Christian Andersen hid a tale so haunting it threatened to unravel the soul of the city. That tale is waking. Statues are crying, memories vanishing. You and your team of Seekers must walk the city’s hidden streets, solve mind-bending puzzles, and uncover the 15 lost fragments before the troll in the tale becomes real.
This is no ordinary walk — it’s a journey into mystery, memory, and magic. A real-world adventure to reconnect, to feel alive, and to save a story before it's lost forever.

Andersen readers and teens who like fairy tales with a dark edge will enjoy this 5.4 km walk past Rådhuspladsen, Nyhavn and the Round Tower, chasing 15 lost fragments of a troll story through puzzles. Couples and friends can play it together in about 90 minutes. Families with small children should pick a lighter quest: it starts at a statue called Troll Breathing Out Human Blood.

The route starts and ends at the Troll Breathing Out Human Blood statue. Along the way it takes in Rådhuspladsen, Tivoli Gardens, The Mother and Death, the Royal Library Garden, Kronprinsessegade 1, Skt. Peders Bageri, the Agnete and the Merman statue, Laksegade, Nyhavn 1F and the Round Tower.
Does the quest pass Rådhuspladsen?
Yes. Rådhuspladsen, the City Hall Square, is the first stop after the starting statue, and the route then continues to Tivoli Gardens. You get the story of each place on your phone along with a puzzle to solve in what is in front of you.
How long does it take and how far is the walk?
Plan on around 90 minutes for about 5.4 km on foot. The route is a loop, so you finish back at the troll statue where you started. You can pause at any point and continue later if you want a break for coffee or a bakery stop.
Is it suitable for children?
It is written for adults and teens. The story is a darker, mysterious take on Andersen's fairy tales, with a troll, crying statues and vanishing memories, and the puzzles are meant to be challenging. Teenagers who enjoy eerie tales will do well; younger children may find it too dark or too hard.
Do we need to book a time, and can we play as a group?
No fixed time is needed. You start whenever you like, with no guide and no group to join. One ticket covers your whole group, up to the number of devices stated, so friends or family can solve the puzzles together as a team of Seekers.
