It is an easy, free to play walk of about 3 km and around two hours, good for families and friends who like to stop for coffee along the way. Anyone hoping for a live guide to quiz, or a mostly indoor museum visit, should choose something else.

Is this a self-guided walking tour of Aberdeen?
Yes. You play on your phone and the app leads you from place to place, tells the story of each one and sets a puzzle based on what is in front of you. There is no guide and no group to join, so you can start whenever you like.
What will we see on the route?
You walk from the Mercat Cross past the Salvation Army Citadel, The Archibald Simpson, Marischal College, Poised at Marischal Square, the War Memorial, His Majesty's Theatre, the Robert Burns statue, the Music Hall, the Edward VII statue, the Kirk of St Nicholas Uniting and Union Street, finishing at the Maritime Museum.
Where does it start and finish, and how long does it take?
The walk starts at the Mercat Cross and finishes at the Maritime Museum. It covers about 3 km, and most players take around two hours including walking and puzzles. Aberdeen has plenty of restaurants and coffee shops if you want a break between stops.
Is it suitable for kids, and does it cost anything?
It is free to play and rated easy, so families with children who can manage a 3 km walk of about two hours and enjoy solving clues should get on well. Very young children may find the length tiring. You can pause and continue later if anyone needs a rest.
Do we need to book a time?
No booking is needed. You can start at any time, play alone or with family and friends, and pause the game to pick it up again later. The route is outdoors through the city centre, so dress for the weather.
