You step into the role of Thomas Clark, a world-renowned detective hired to solve a case. The clues take you along the park's only straight road and past the Gilded Age mansions of Museum Mile. Along the way you hear stories, including the tragic tale of the first American supermodel.
Where does the walk start and finish?
It starts at the Pulitzer Fountain and finishes at the Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum in the Carnegie Mansion. It is not a loop, so you end on Museum Mile after passing the Frick Collection, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Neue Galerie and the Guggenheim.
How long does it take, and can we pause?
Most players take about two hours, walking and puzzles included, over a route of 5.1 km. There is no set start time to book, and you can pause the game and continue later if you want a break at one of the museums or a café.
