It is a self-guided ghost hunt played on your phone, not a guided walk. Ten invented spirits roam the streets, each stuck on unfinished business. Solve its mystery, catch it and it gives up a clue. At the end you name the Evil One among them and destroy it. These are new characters, not traditional local legends.
Does it work like a scavenger hunt in Durham?
In many ways, yes. The app leads you from place to place across town, about 2 km in total, and sets puzzles you solve by looking at what is in front of you. Expect ciphers and riddles, some of which only the street itself can answer, with each solved mystery giving you a clue for the final reveal.
