Can I see the highlights of Málaga in one day?
Yes, and with time to spare. This walk covers the Alcazaba, Bishop's Square, Constitution Square, Atarazanas Market and the Statue of Marquis of Larios in about 2.5 to 3 hours over 3.5 km. That leaves the rest of the day free for a long lunch or a return visit to a favourite stop.
Is there a self-guided route app for exploring Málaga?
This quest is played on your phone. The app leads you from stop to stop through the historic centre, tells the story of each place and sets a puzzle based on what is in front of you. You start whenever you like, with no guide and no group to keep up with.
Does the route pass Plaza de la Constitución?
Yes. Constitution Square is one of the twelve stops, reached after Santiago Church and Bishop's Square. From there the route continues to Félix Sáenz Square and the Atarazanas Indoor Market, so you see the square as part of a connected walk rather than a single pin on a map.
Is it suitable for children?
It is recommended for families, and the puzzles are solved by looking at the streets and monuments around you. It suits children who can comfortably walk 3.5 km and stay with an outdoor activity of about 2.5 to 3 hours. The story is a romance, so younger children may care more about the puzzles.
Where does it start, and do we need to book a time?
The walk starts and ends at the Fisherman's Statue, so you finish where you began. There is no time slot to book: start whenever suits you, ideally during the day. You can pause and continue later, and one ticket covers your whole group, up to the number of devices stated.
