The Balkerne Gate is the largest surviving Roman gateway in Britain, built into Colchester's town wall around the first century, when this was the Roman capital of the province. You can still walk through the pedestrian arch the Romans used. The pub built against it has an unusually good view.

Players follow the story of a young Colchestrian, besieged in the walls of the town along with an unwelcome Royalist army.&nbsp;They will learn about the Siege of Colchester, the longest siege in British history, which took place against the wider backdrop of the English Civil War.&nbsp;This game takes players to key historic locations, where they'll learn about the Siege of Colchester and what it was like for the people that lived through it.
