Is this a guided ghost tour of Cambridge?
No. It is a self-guided ghost walk played on your phone. The app leads you from place to place, tells the haunted history of each stop and sets a puzzle in what is in front of you. There is no guide and no group to join, and it is best played during the day.
How long is the ghost walk and how far do we go?
Allow about an hour to cover around 3.3 km. The route takes in ten stops, including the Cambridge Union, Jesus College, Emmanuel College, Reality Checkpoint, Hobson's Conduit, the Fitzwilliam Museum and St Botolph's Church.
Where does the walk start and finish?
The walk starts at the Mathematical Bridge and loops back to finish there, so you end up where you began. The app guides you between each stop along the way.
Do we need to book a time, and can we pause?
There is no time slot to book. You can start whenever suits you, ideally during daylight hours, and pause the walk at any point to stop for a coffee or a look around, then continue later from where you left off.
Can we play as a group?
Yes. One ticket covers your whole group, up to the number of devices stated, so friends or family can walk together, read the stories and solve the puzzles as a team.
