It's the 19th century in Belgium, and honestly, you'd rather sleep than stir malt. But your father, a respected village brewer, has had enough.
Either you learn the craft or you're out.
So here you are, in the heart of Brussels, on a tipsy trail of taverns, tasked with collecting secret beer recipes from the city's most storied brewers.
As you walk through cobbled streets and hidden alleys, you'll solve puzzles, follow clues, and uncover the hoppy heart of Belgium's brewing past.
Will you return home a master brewer, or just another tale lost in the foam? Lace up your boots, and find out.

Beer lovers, friends and couples who would rather set their own pace than join a scheduled pub crawl will enjoy this walk past Moeder Lambic Fontainas, Delirium Café and Café Mort Subite, solving puzzles as a reluctant 19th-century brewer's child collecting secret recipes. Expect 3.2 km over about two and a half hours, best done in daylight. Families with young children, or anyone wanting a live guide to explain each beer, should pick something else.

Where does the beer quest start and finish?
It starts at Place de Dinant and finishes at the Statue of Peter the Great, so it is not a loop. Along the way you pass the Bourse Fountain, the Belgian Brewers Museum, Delirium Café, Jeanneke Pis, Café Mort Subite and the Carillon of the Mont des Arts.
How long does it take and how far is the walk?
Most players take about two and a half hours, including walking and puzzles. The route covers 3.2 km through the old town. You can pause whenever you like, for example to stop for a drink at one of the cafés, and continue later.
Can we play as a group?
Yes. One ticket covers the whole group playing together, so friends or couples can follow the clues and solve the puzzles side by side on the same game.
Do we need to book a start time?
No. There is no group to join and no guide, so you can start whenever suits you. The quest is tagged as best during the day, so plan to set off in daylight hours.
Is this quest suitable for children?
It is aimed at adults. The story follows a young brewer collecting secret beer recipes, and the route links well-known beer cafés and taverns, so families with children may prefer a different quest in Brussels.
