Is this cheese rolling race game played on a mobile phone?
Yes. The app on your phone leads you from stop to stop, tells the story of each place and sets a puzzle based on what is in front of you. There is no guide and no fixed start time, so you can begin whenever suits you and pause to continue later.
How long is the walk and how much time does it take?
The route covers 2.8 km with 12 stops and takes about 1.5 hours at a relaxed pace. It starts and finishes at `t Slot, passing places such as VVV Gouda, De Gouwekerk, Turfmarkt Gouda, Museum Gouda and the Stadhuis van Gouda.
Is it suitable for children?
Yes. It is tagged family friendly with an easy difficulty level, and it suits children of about 6 to 12 best. The mouse story is light and the puzzles use things you can see along the route. Younger children may need help with the puzzles and the 2.8 km distance.
Do we need to book a time, and can our group play together?
No time slot is needed. The route is open 24/7, though it is better in daylight hours. One ticket covers your whole group, up to the number of devices stated, so everyone can follow the story together, and you can pause and pick it up again later.
