Over deze quest

Discover the historic town and solve the mystery of the stolen sapphire necklace!

Follow the clues, visit the most important places in the resort, find out their stories, how the Baths used to work and what the people who came here on holiday did. And, if you're clever, find the thief who disturbed a peaceful vacation.

Is dit iets voor jullie?

Voor wie het is

Older couples and families with school-age children staying at the resort can spend an afternoon walking 2.6 km past the Baths, the Casino, Hotel Palace and the villas, learning how the spa worked while tracking down a sapphire necklace thief. Allow about two hours. If you would rather question a live guide about the spa's past, or two hours on foot is too much, choose something else.

Veelgestelde vragen

Is there an app for exploring Baile Govora on foot?
Yes. This quest is played on your phone. The app leads you through 12 stops in the old spa resort, tells the story of each place and sets a puzzle based on what is in front of you. It is free to play, and you can start whenever suits you.
Where does the walk start and finish?
It starts at the Thermal Park entrance and finishes at Hotel Stephanescu. Along the way you pass the Power Plant, the Ferdinand Spring, the Baths, the Casino, Hotel Palace, the Palace Fountain, the Old Gazebo and three historic villas: Iliescu, Ivanovici and Constanta-Marieta.
How long does it take?
Most players take about two hours, including walking and solving the puzzles. The route covers 2.6 km through the resort. You can pause at any point and continue later, which helps if you are fitting it around treatments or a long lunch.
Is it suitable for children?
It works well for families with school-age children. The stolen sapphire necklace mystery turns the walk into a light detective game, with clues to follow at each stop while you learn how the Baths worked and what holidaymakers did here in the past.
Do we need to book a time or join a group?
No. There is no group to join and no guide to meet. Start any time from the Thermal Park entrance, play at your own pace with whoever you are with, and stop whenever you like. It is free to play, so there is nothing to arrange in advance.
