Your mission: learn magic spells, fight dark creatures, gather relics of power, and brew the potion that will banish the darkness. With each step and every riddle solved, the city loosens the grip of its curse.
This is not just a walk. It is an escape game woven into the stones of the old town. Every clue you crack draws you closer to the last stand at Markthal, where the fate of the city will be decided. Will you have the courage to face the dark wizard and restore peace to Rotterdam?

Questions fréquemment posées
Is this a ghost tour or a horror walk?
Not really. The story is a fantasy about dark magic. You learn spells, face dark creatures, gather relics and brew a potion to lift a curse from the city. The tone is playful and the puzzles are rated easy, so it suits families and couples more than people looking for real horror stories.
Where does the quest start and finish?
It starts at Nieuwe Delftse Poort and finishes at the Toonder Monument by the Markthal, so it does not end where it began. In between you pass City Hall, the World Trade Center, the Laurenskerk, the Cube Houses, Oude Haven and the White House, about 2.6 km in all.
Does the route pass Oude Haven?
Yes. Oude Haven is the eighth of ten stops, reached after the Cube Houses and followed by the White House before the final stop at the Markthal. The app leads you there step by step, so you do not need a separate map of the harbour area.
Is it good for kids, and how long does it take?
It is tagged family friendly with an easy difficulty, and it works well for primary-school-age children who enjoy magic and riddles. Expect 1.5 to 2 hours including walking and puzzles over 2.6 km, so very young children may tire before the end.
Can we play as a group, and do we need to book a time?
One ticket covers the whole group playing together on a phone. There is no time slot to book and no group to join: start whenever you like, and you can pause and continue later if you stop for food or a break.
