Is this like a pirate escape room in London?
It shares the riddles and the pirate story, but it happens outdoors. You follow clues left by the trickster Timon the Toothless, who hid a stolen shipload of tea, solving puzzles in the streets and around St Katharine Docks instead of a locked room.
Where does the quest start and finish?
It starts at The Goodman's Fields Horses and finishes at Spill the Tea, so it does not end where it began. On the way you pass stops including the St Katharine Docks gate, the Dickens Inn, the Timepiece Sundial and Girl with a Dolphin.
How long does it take, and when is the best time to play?
Most players take around two hours, walking and puzzles included, over 3.2 km. Playing at night is not recommended. For fewer crowds, go on a weekday during working hours, and note the route may be affected by temporary construction work.
