Questions fréquemment posées
Is this a self-guided London tour I can play on an app?
Yes. You play on your phone with no guide and no group to join. The app leads you from stop to stop, tells the story of each place and sets a puzzle there. Alongside the film locations, the route passes historic sites such as Shakespeare's Globe, The Clink, The Golden Hinde and The Old Operating Theatre.
Where does the quest start and finish?
It starts at Tate Modern and finishes at The Shard, so it is a one-way route rather than a loop. In between you cross the Millennium Bridge and pass Shakespeare's Globe, The Anchor, The Clink, The Golden Hinde, The Globe Tavern, The George and The Old Operating Theatre, about 2.4 km in total.
How long does it take, and can we pause?
Most players take around 75 minutes, which includes the walking and the puzzles. You can start any time you like, pause along the way for a drink or a look around, and continue later from where you stopped.
Is it suitable for kids?
It is tagged family friendly, with puzzles at medium difficulty that you solve using what is in front of you. School-age children who enjoy films and clue hunting usually get the most out of it, while younger children may need an adult to help with the puzzles and the 2.4 km walk.
Can we play as a group, and do we need to book a time?
Yes, one ticket covers the whole group playing together on the route. There is no fixed time slot to book, so you can start whenever suits you and go at your own pace between Tate Modern and The Shard.
