It starts at Pavilion Cafe and finishes at The Blue Bridge, so it does not return to the start. In between you pass Edith Cavell Statue, Cecil Court, Goodwin's Court, Covent Garden, Seven Dials, Freemasons Hall, Royal Ballet and Opera, Victoria Embankment Gardens, the Sherlock Holmes Pub and Trafalgar Square.
How long does it take and how far is the walk?
Most players take about 2 to 2.5 hours, including walking, puzzles and two bonus rounds of London fun facts. The route covers around 4.2 km. You can pause at any point, for a coffee or a break, and continue later from where you stopped.
Is it good for kids?
Yes, for playful kids who enjoy silly humour, such as fart-powered lamps and pelican gossip, alongside real puzzles. Bear in mind it is a 4.2 km walk lasting over two hours, so it suits children who can manage that distance on foot rather than very young ones.
Do we need to book a time or pay to play as a group?
No booking is needed and it is free to play. Start whenever suits you, with no group to join and no guide to meet. Friends or family can simply follow the route together on a phone at their own pace.
