Rencontre le créateurLa mission : Votre histoire à Hamburg
Hamburg, 1582.
The city flourishes with its mercantile prosperity and marine might. Many come to the city seeking fortune or fleeing prosecution.
Your name is Abraham Ruah, a Sephardic Jew who has fled the inquisition in Portugal. For you, Hamburg is a place of opportunity and freedom. The city has everything, but it’s missing good food. You’ve decided to sell the small fish cakes your grandma used to make.
You’re at the pier getting the cod when you feel a blade on your neck. This can’t be good.

Questions fréquemment posées
I only have an afternoon in Hamburg—could this fit my schedule?
Yes. The quest takes about an hour and a half, so you can squeeze it in between lunch at the harbor and an evening drink without feeling rushed.
Does the route stay near the water the whole time?
Pretty much. You’ll weave along the Elbe’s edge, through old piers and warehouse lanes, catching constant river views while chasing clues.
Is it mostly history facts, or is there a real story to follow?
It’s built around a story. You play as Abraham Ruah, a refugee rebuilding his life, making choices and discoveries as you explore.
What makes the scenery special on this walk?
The mix—classic ships at Landungsbrücken, red-brick Speicherstadt canals, the futuristic Elbphilharmonie skyline, plus hidden alleys most tourists miss.
Can we bring a dog or stroller?
Dogs are fine and love the waterfront air. A stroller works on most of the route, but a few cobblestone patches might be bumpy.
Is it better to start in the morning or late afternoon?
Morning gives you quieter streets and crisp harbor light; late afternoon means golden sunsets and time to grab dinner nearby afterward.
