Yes. This phone-led game follows a story about a legendary golden key and royal treasure. It takes you past the Cathedral, the burial site of the Catholic Kings, an old Albaicin church and plaza, the Moorish House of the Gold Oven and the Gate of the Pomegranates, with a puzzle at each place.
Where does the quest start and finish?
It starts at Granada Cathedral and finishes at Puerta del Vino, inside the Alhambra area. It is not a loop, so you end up across town from where you began. Along the way you pass Café 4 Gatos, a lookout facing the Alhambra, Bridge Espinosa and Plaza Nueva.
How long does it take and how far is the walk?
Most players take about two hours, including walking and solving the puzzles. The route covers 3.4 km on foot. You can pause the game whenever you like, for example at the tapas bar quarter, and continue later from the same point.
Is it suitable for children?
It suits families with older children who like puzzles and escape rooms. The game involves following clues, reading the story and solving riddles over about two hours of walking, so very young children may lose interest or tire before reaching the Alhambra gates.
Can we play as a group, and do we need to book a time?
One ticket covers the whole group playing together on one phone. There is no fixed time slot or guide to meet, so you can start whenever you are ready. The game recommends not playing at night, so plan to start in daylight.
