Was it the reticent leprechaun, Rusty, with his mischievous past? Finn McGuire, the desperate pub owner last seen with the shamrock? Or perhaps the mayor himself, whose ambitions might be fueled by the town's misfortune?

This Georgetown loop starts and ends at Pinstripes, leading you past Christ Church, along the C&O Canal and by Martin's Tavern while you question suspects from a leprechaun to a pub owner over the missing Golden Shamrock. Friends, couples and mixed-age families get about 90 minutes of light detective puzzles over 2 km. Visitors hoping to see the National Mall monuments should pick something else.

Where does the shamrock mystery start and finish?
It starts at Pinstripes in Georgetown and loops back there at the end. On the way you pass Wisconsin Ave NW at O St NW, Christ Church, the C&O Canal on 30th St NW, Georgetown Baptist Church, Martin's Tavern and Fishmarket Square.
How long does it take and how far do we walk?
Plan on around 90 minutes, covering about 2 km of Georgetown streets. That time can stretch if you linger at stops. You can pause the game at any point and continue later from where you left off.
Is it good for kids?
The story is a light-hearted mystery about a missing lucky shamrock, with a leprechaun among the suspects, so it suits families. Children old enough to read clues and follow a 2 km walk will get the most from it, with adults helping on the trickier puzzles.
