The city feels older tonight. Heavier. Like something has been waiting a very long time for someone to come asking.
You've been recruited by the Bureau of Otherworldly Observation, and Agent Howl is handing you your first case: a district full of the dead, and a file nobody has ever managed to close.
Thirteen stops. Thirteen things this city would rather you didn't look at too closely. Some of them are waiting for you.
The dead here were real people, and they remember what the plaques leave out. Ask the right questions and they'll tell you. Ask the wrong ones and you'll find out why the file is still open.
Keep your phone torch handy. You'll want it. 🕯️

Where is the Princess Theatre on this ghost walk?
The Princess Theatre is the third stop. You reach it after starting at the Old Treasury Building and passing the Stanford Fountain, and from there the route continues to the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. The app guides you from place to place, so you do not need to find it yourself.
Where does the quest start and finish?
It starts at the Old Treasury Building and finishes at the Melbourne City Baths, so it does not return to where you began. The 2.7 km route passes 13 stops, including the Old Melbourne Magistrates' Court, the Old Melbourne Gaol and the Eight Hour Day Monument.
How long does it take?
Most players take around 90 minutes, including the walking and the puzzles at each stop. If you need a break, you can pause the game and continue later from where you stopped.
Can we play as a group?
Yes. One ticket covers the whole group playing together, which suits couples, friends or a small group of adults sharing the case. You follow the story and solve the puzzles together on the phone as you walk between the stops.
Do we need to book a start time?
No. This is a self-guided walk with no guide and no group to join, so you can start whenever you like, including in the evening. The app leads you from stop to stop, tells the story of each place and sets a puzzle in what is in front of you.
