After one cryptic phone call, you’re thrown into a wild chase through the heart of the city, solving riddles, following clues, and uncovering hidden spots where music history was made.
This quest isn’t just a game - it’s a rhythm-fueled walk through iconic locations, a bonding adventure with friends, and a real-world mystery waiting to be played. Are you ready to chase the beat?

Rock and music history fans, especially groups of friends, spend about two hours tracing Soho's studios and clubs, from the Bag O'Nails and Trident Sound Studios to Ronnie Scott's, solving riddles all the way to Denmark Street. Yes. This walk is played on your phone, with no guide and no fixed start time. It leads you through Soho's music history, including the Bag O'Nails, Trident Sound Studios, i's Coffee Bar and Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club, and finishes on Denmark Street.
What is the story behind Chasing the Beat?
Your favourite band, Gluckspeck, needs a new bass player and has chosen an unusual way to find one. After a cryptic phone call you chase clues and riddles through central London, visiting places where music history was made along the way.
Where does it start and finish, and how long does it take?
The quest starts at Palladium House and finishes on Denmark Street, so it does not return to the start. The route covers about 2.1 km through Soho, and most players take around two hours, including walking and solving the puzzles.
Can we play as a group, and do we need to book a time?
Yes, friends can play together, and one ticket covers the whole group playing on it. There is no time slot to book and no group to join, so you can start whenever suits you.
Can we pause and continue later?
Yes. You can pause the quest at any point, stop for a drink or a meal in Soho, and pick up where you left off later. The route runs through streets and Soho Square Gardens, so dress for the weather.
