Where does the treasure hunt start in Liverpool?
The game starts at the Nelson Monument. From there the app leads you through stops including Lanigans Irish Bar, McGreavy's Irish Bar, the Futurist, the Old Post Office and the Lady of Mann, telling the story of each place and setting a puzzle there.
How long does it take and how far do we walk?
Plan on around 90 minutes for a walk of about 2.4 km. There is no fixed pace, and you can pause the game and continue later, so a coffee or a pub stop along the way is easy to fit in.
Does the route pass any Beatles sights?
Yes. Among the stops are the John Lennon Statue, the Paul McCartney Mural by Paul Curtis and McCooley's on Mathew Street. The game itself is a detective mystery about a lost shamrock, so these places are part of the trail rather than a Beatles history tour.
Can we play as a group, and do we need to book a time?
