Is the Oz escape in Jacksonville a scheduled event, or can we go any time?
There is no fixed session to book. You start whenever suits you, play on your phone and follow the app from place to place. There is no group to join and no guide, and you can pause and continue later if you need a break.
How is this different from an indoor escape room in Jacksonville?
Instead of a locked room, you walk a 2.2 km route through San Marco and solve puzzles set in what is in front of you at each stop, while the story carries you on to the next. You pick your own start time, and one ticket covers the whole group playing together.

It starts at the San Marco Lion Statue in Balis Park and ends back in Balis Park, so it is a loop. The route is 2.2 km and passes stops such as Largo Well Park, Theatre Jacksonville and the Tile Market of San Marco. Most players take about two hours, puzzles included.
Is it good for kids?
Families with children do play it. The escape-room puzzles suit children old enough to enjoy working out clues alongside adults. It is about two hours on foot outdoors over 2.2 km, so think about whether younger children can manage that, and remember you can pause and continue later.
