Follow the clues through Renaissance streets, encounter wine holes, devil sculptures, and golden footsteps, and time-travel back to 1468 to uncover the truth. The answer is not what anyone expected.

Is there a detective walking tour in Florence?
Yes. In this one you play the assistant of Signor Pazzi, a sharp-eyed Florentine private investigator, working out what happened to a young nun who vanished. The clues lead you through Renaissance streets, and the story takes you back to 1468. It is self-guided on your phone, so you start whenever you like.
Where does the quest start and finish?
It starts at Piazza dell'Unità Italiana, with Piazza di Santa Maria Novella as the next stop, and finishes on Via D'Ardiglione, south of the river near Piazza Santo Spirito. It is not a loop, so you end up on the other side of the city centre from where you began.
Does the route pass through Piazza Santo Spirito?
Yes. Piazza Santo Spirito is the ninth stop, after Enoteca Obsequium and the Madonna del Puzzo, and just before the finish on Via D'Ardiglione. You do not need a map of the area: the app leads you from place to place.
How long does it take, and can we take a break?
Most players take about two hours, walking and puzzles included, over 2.9 km. You can pause at any point and continue later, which makes it easy to stop for a coffee or lunch. Bring a fully charged phone or a power bank, since the whole game runs on it.
Can we play as a group, and do we need to book a time?
One ticket covers the whole group playing together, so couples and friends can share a single phone. There is no time slot to book and no group to join: you start whenever you arrive at Piazza dell'Unità Italiana and walk at your own pace.
