Kusadasi, meaning “Bird’s Island”, is a world-famous resort and one of the most popular cruise ship ports in all of Turkey.
It is neither an island nor are there birds as there used to be but, every summer, thousands of tourists migrate here in their stead. Kusadasi is located on the west coast in the Aegean Region, attracting many visitors with its spectacular Byzantine and Ottoman ruins as well as its beautiful beaches and traditional shops.

Para quién es
Cruise passengers with a few hours ashore, and couples or families staying in town, can trace Kusadasi's Ottoman past at their own pace over about 2 hours, from the Pigeon Island fortress through the caravanserai, Inner Castle Mosque and Ottoman Street to the Hand Statue. Preguntas frecuentes
What does Kusadasi mean in English?
Kusadasi means "Bird's Island". Today it is neither an island nor home to the birds it once had, but every summer thousands of tourists arrive in their place. The walk tells stories like this at each stop as you explore the town's Byzantine and Ottoman past.
Which Ottoman sites in Kusadasi does the walk visit?
The route takes in the Okuz Mehmet Pasha Kervansaray (Caravanserai) and its north entrance, the Tile Fountain, the Inner Castle Mosque, the Marble Fountain and Ottoman Street. Along the way you also pass the Clock Tower, the Fish Market and the Micro Miniature Museum.
Where does the quest start and finish?
It starts at Güvercin Ada Fortress on Pigeon Island and finishes at the Hand Statue, so it does not return to the starting point. In between you follow the Sea Side Street, the Boulevard, Ottoman Street and the Statue of Ataturk, among 15 stops in total.
How long does it take, and can we pause?
Most players take about 2 hours to cover the 3 km, puzzles included. You can start whenever suits you, with no time slot to book, and pause to continue later, which helps if you are working around a cruise ship's departure time. It is best done during the day.
Can we play as a family or group?
Yes. One ticket covers the whole group playing together on a phone, and the quest is recommended for families and couples. Children who enjoy solving puzzles about what they see around them will get the most out of it, as long as they can manage a 3 km walk.
