Is this a good date activity in Bath?
Couples are one of the groups it suits best. You play a debutante in 1805 Bath, steering through gossip and suitors while solving puzzles together in the Georgian streets between Royal Victoria Park and Sydney Gardens. It takes around two and a half hours at your own pace.
Where does the walk start and finish?
It starts at the Royal Victoria Park Bandstand and finishes at Sydney Gardens, so it is not a loop. On the way you pass Royal Avenue, No. 1 Royal Crescent, Trim Street, Bath Street, the Guildhall, Laura Place Fountain and The Holburne Museum, about 3.2 km in total.
How long does it take, and when should we start?
Most players take about two and a half hours, walking and puzzles included. The last part of the game might not be available after 4pm, so start early enough in the day to reach the end before then.
Do we need to book a time slot?
No. There is no group to join and no guide to meet, so you start whenever you like from the bandstand in Royal Victoria Park. You can also pause the game and pick it up again later, as long as you keep the 4pm limit for the final part in mind.
Can we play as a group of friends or a hen party?
Yes. One ticket covers the whole group playing together, and the high-society role play of the Regency season, with its scandals and suitors, works well for friends and hen parties who want to solve the puzzles as a team.
