Sobre esta experiencia
Barcelona is calling, not just with its beauty—but with a hidden story waiting to be told.
Follow Alba, a literature student at the University of Barcelona, as she embarks on a poetic journey to uncover her great-grandfather’s long-buried secrets. A mysterious letter has arrived, filled with cryptic words and heartfelt riddles, asking her to unlock the true meaning behind his life’s work.
Walk through the city's most inspiring corners, solve puzzles crafted from verses and visuals, and discover hidden layers of art, love, and memory. This quest is perfect for friends and families seeking real-world connection, curiosity, and culture. Will you help Alba preserve her great-grandfather’s legacy—or let it fade away?
¿Es para ti?
Para quién es
Literature lovers, students and friends drawn to Catalan poets, visual poems and public art rather than Gaudí will enjoy this. Over about two and a quarter hours and 3.8 km you follow a student decoding her great-grandfather's letter, solving verse-based puzzles from the University of Barcelona to Joan Salvat-Papasseit. If you mainly want Gaudí's buildings or a live guide to quiz, choose another walk.

Preguntas frecuentes
Where does the walk start and finish?
It starts at the University of Barcelona and finishes at Joan Salvat-Papasseit, so it does not end where it began. Along the way there are 13 stops in all, including Monument al llibre, Plaça de Catalunya, Barcino, Fossar de les Moreres and La cara de Barcelona.
How long does it take and how far do you walk?
Most players take around two and a quarter hours, including walking and solving the puzzles, and cover about 3.8 km. Make sure your phone is fully charged or bring a power bank, since the whole game is played on your phone.
Does the route pass the kissing wall mural in Barcelona?
Yes. The mural El món neix en cada besada is one of the stops, reached after Plaça de Catalunya and before Barcino. The app leads you there, tells you the story of the place and sets a puzzle based on what you see in front of you.
Can we play as a group, and do we need to book a time?
One ticket covers the whole group playing together on the walk. There is no set time slot and no group to join: you start whenever you like, at your own pace, with the app guiding you from stop to stop instead of a live guide.
Can we pause the quest and finish it later?
Yes. You can pause at any point, take a break for food or a rest, and continue later from where you stopped. That makes the roughly two and a quarter hours of walking and puzzles easy to split up if you prefer.
