What is the Lucky Treasure Hunt in Albuquerque?
It is an outdoor detective mystery played on your phone. The Golden Shamrock has gone missing and the town's luck is falling apart. You walk from place to place, solve puzzles using what you see around you, and work out whether Rusty the leprechaun, pub owner Finn McGuire or the mayor took it.
How long does it take and how far do we walk?
Plan on around 90 minutes, depending on how quickly your group solves the puzzles. The route covers about 1.7 km on foot. You can pause at any point and continue later, so you can stop for food or a break without losing your progress.
Is it good for kids?
It suits mixed-age families, and the story is playful rather than dark, built around a lost shamrock and a cheeky leprechaun. It works best for children old enough to read clues, follow a mystery and walk about 1.7 km. Younger children can join in with adults doing the reading.
Can we play as a group, and do we need to book a time?
Yes. One ticket covers your whole group, up to the number of devices stated for the quest. There is no guide and no fixed group to join, so you do not book a time slot. Start whenever suits you and play at your own pace.
