Für wen es ist
Couples, active travellers and families with older children can trade the old-town crowds for Marjan Hill, climbing from Matejuska Port past hillside churches and the botanical gardens to Split's best viewpoints while uncovering the story of the city's only attempted witch burning. Expect about 3 km and nearly three hours on foot. Anyone who struggles with uneven, sloping paths should pick a flatter old-town route.

Ein paar Antworten vor dem Start
Häufig gestellte Fragen
How do I get to the Marjan Hill viewpoints?
The app guides you on foot from Matejuska Port up to the First Viewpoint, then on past the Church of St. Nicholas, the Botanical Gardens, the Saddle and the churches of Our Lady of Bethlehem and St. Jerome. The route is not a loop and finishes at the Karepic Tower.
How long does the walk take and how far is it?
Most players take nearly three hours, including walking, stories and puzzles. The route covers about 3 km on varied terrain with changes in elevation, so wear comfortable shoes and bring a water bottle. You can pause at any point and continue later.
Is it suitable for children?
It is family friendly and works best for older children who can manage a hill walk of about 3 km over uneven ground. Along the way they hear the witch-hunt story, local poetry and the history of Split, with puzzles set in the places in front of you.
Can we play as a group, and do we need to book a time?
One ticket covers the whole group playing together on one phone. There is no time slot to book and no guide to meet, so you can start from Matejuska Port whenever suits you and go at your own pace.
What is the best time of day to do it?
The route is outdoors and open around the clock, but it is better in daylight and playing at night is not recommended. Going in daylight also means you see the panoramic views at their best, and you can finish with a walk around the hill or a dip at one of Marjan's beaches.
