Häufig gestellte Fragen
Is there a free walking tour of Piran?
Yes. This self-guided quest is free to play on your phone. The app leads you through the old town, tells the story of each place and sets a puzzle at every stop. There is no guide and no group to join, so you can start whenever you like.
Is there a scavenger hunt in Piran?
This quest works like a scavenger hunt through the town core. At each of its ten stops, including the Maritime Museum, Tartini Square, the lighthouse and the aquarium, you solve a puzzle using what is in front of you. The puzzles range from easy to medium difficulty.
Where does the quest start and finish?
It starts at the Port authority building by the harbour and finishes at the Minorite church of St. Francis. It does not return to the start. The route covers about 1.8 km and passes Tartini Square, First of May Square, Gate Mugla, the lighthouse, Theatre Tartini and the aquarium.
How long does it take, and can we pause?
Most players take about an hour, walking and puzzles included. You can pause at any point and continue later. The route is open around the clock, but it is better in daylight. Charge your phone fully or bring a power bank before you set off.
Is it good for kids?
Yes, it is tagged family friendly and the puzzles are easy to medium, so children old enough to read clues and spot details can join in. The walk is short and fully outdoors, so bring hats, sunscreen and enough water on sunny days.
