Stories were passed from one generation to another and were closely connected to nature, family and everyday life. The world was seen as a place of cycles and balance: light and darkness, life and death, winter and spring.
This quest takes you into that forgotten Slavic worldview through the story of one unusual divine family.
It is a story of love and jealousy, a secret love triangle, a child who disappears, and two desperate parents searching and waiting for their lost son, Jarilo. It is also a story about two very different worlds — one above and one below — and a young man whose life will connect them in an unexpected way.
Along the way, you will discover how people once imagined the forces of nature and everyday life around them.
Follow Jarilo's story through Ljubljana discover a world that Christianity did not simply erase. Many old beliefs were transformed and preserved in new forms — some of which may still feel surprisingly familiar today.
