Is this a self-guided walking tour of Valencia?
Yes. Your phone leads you through the Turia Gardens from stop to stop, telling the story of each place and setting a puzzle in what you can see. There is no guide and no group to join, so you walk at your own pace and start whenever you like.
Where does the quest start and how long does it take?
It starts and finishes at the Serranos Towers, making a loop of 4.7 km through the old riverbed park. The route reaches the City of Arts and Sciences, including the Palau de les Arts and L'Hemisfèric, then returns past the bridges. Plan on around 50 minutes of play, plus any breaks you take.
Is it good for kids?
It is tagged easy and family friendly. The puzzles ask you to count arches, spot symbols carved in stone and read shapes in the buildings, which suits school-age children. The route also passes Gulliver park, a natural place for a play break halfway through.
Can we play as a group, and do we need to book a time?
One ticket covers your whole group, up to the number of devices stated for the quest. There is no time slot to book: start any time that suits you, and you can pause the quest and continue later if you want to stop for a coffee or a rest.
Is the quest outdoors?
Yes. The whole route runs through the Turia Gardens, the park laid out in Valencia's former riverbed, with stops beside bridges, ponds and the outside of the City of Arts and Sciences buildings. Check the weather before you set off, and remember you can pause if it starts to rain.
