Starting and finishing at Le Grand Palais, this 4.8 km loop follows Coco Chanel past Le Café Marly, Angelina, Place Vendôme and Rue Cambon, where her headquarters stand. Fashion fans and friends travelling together get about 75 minutes of her story told where she lived, worked and took her coffee. Pick something else if you want an evening walk, a live guide or time inside the boutiques and museums.

Is there a self-guided Chanel tour in Paris?
Yes. This walk is played on your phone and leads you through places tied to Coco Chanel, including Place Vendôme, the Chanel headquarters on Rue Cambon, Angelina, Le Grand Véfour and Maxim's de Paris. At each stop the app tells the story and sets a puzzle based on what is in front of you.
Does the route pass the Chanel building on Rue Cambon?
Yes. Right after Place Vendôme the route takes you along Rue Cambon to see Chanel's headquarters. From there it continues past Fauré Le Page, Maxim's de Paris and the Fontaine de Diane before returning to the Grand Palais.
Where does the walk start and finish?
It starts and ends at Le Grand Palais, so it works as a loop and you finish where you began. On the way you cross toward Rue de Lille and the Quai François Mitterrand, then pass the Louvre area, Place Colette and the Musée des Arts Décoratifs.
How long does it take and how far is it?
Plan on around 75 minutes of walking and puzzles over about 4.8 km, plus any time you spend sitting down at the cafés along the way. It is best done during the day, and you can pause the game and pick it up again later.
Can we play as a group, and do we need to book a time?
One ticket covers your whole group, up to the number of devices stated, so friends can follow the route together. There is no time slot to book and no guide to meet. Start whenever you arrive at the Grand Palais.
