Maribor, 1681. The plague is lifting, and the physician who signed eight months of the dead has vanished — his satchel left on the cathedral steps.
A torn page from the death register. A coded note. A seal nobody will admit to owning. Some of the dead were never his patients, and their houses changed hands before the graves closed.
Take the satchel. Follow the wall down to the river, and finish at the tower where the city passed judgement.
