For eight months, city doctor Johann Meran has been signing death certificates for plague victims.
Then he discovers certificates with his signature on them — for people he never treated.
Soon after their deaths, their homes change owners. Sometimes before they are even buried.
Meran starts keeping a secret register.
Nine days ago, he was supposed to bring his evidence to court.
He never arrived.
His leather bag was found on the steps of Maribor Cathedral. Inside were three clues:
a torn register page,
a coded message,
and a drawing of a mysterious seal.
Meran is missing. His register is gone.
Now his investigation is yours.
Follow the clues, walk the streets he walked, and uncover the truth.
