Yes. The route runs through the old town past the Heiliggeistkirche, the Rathaus and St. Martin's Church, then up to Burg Schanzl and Trausnitz Castle, the Fürstentreppe and the monument to Ludwig der Reiche. Along the way you hear stories of dukes, jesters, artists and ordinary townsfolk.
Where does the quest start and finish?
It starts at Ländtorplatz and finishes at the Jugendstilpavillon. In between there are 15 stops in walking order, including the Narrenbrunnen, the Markuslöwe, the KOENIGmuseum, Trausnitz Castle and the Engel der Unvernunft.
How long does it take and how far is the walk?
Most players take just over two hours, walking and puzzles included, over about 3.8 km. You can pause at any point and continue later, so it is easy to break for a coffee or a meal in the old town.
Can we play as a group, and is it suitable for children?
Yes, one ticket covers the whole group playing together on a phone. It suits families with school-age children who enjoy spotting details in fountains, sculptures and buildings, as long as they can manage the full 3.8 km walk.
Do we need to book a time slot?
No. It is a self-guided walk played on your phone, with no guide and no group to join. Start whenever you like, follow the app from stop to stop and solve each puzzle using what is in front of you.
