A experiência
Sobre esta experiência
Dresden shimmers with grandeur, but behind its baroque beauty lingers a royal presence. The ghost of August the Strong, Elector of Saxony and King of Poland, still roams his beloved city—eager to share his legacy with those curious and bold enough to follow his footsteps.
From golden domes to secret courtyards, August invites you on a journey through Dresden’s most iconic sites and hidden gems. Solve real-world puzzles, follow historical clues, and see the city through the eyes of a king who refused to be forgotten.
This quest blends walking, storytelling, and connection—a perfect activity to enjoy with friends or family. Will you impress the proud spirit of August the Strong… or disappoint the king himself?
É para si?
Para quem é
Couples and travellers who love Dresden's Baroque skyline can follow the ghost of August the Strong from the New Town Hall past the Frauenkirche, Zwinger and Semperoper to the Canaletto view, solving puzzles at each stop. Allow about three hours for 3.3 km of walking. Anyone hoping for a scary night tour, or a live guide to quiz, should look elsewhere: the ghost here is a storyteller, not a fright.

Algumas respostas antes de partir
Perguntas frequentes
Is this a scary ghost tour of Dresden?
Not really. The ghost is August the Strong, Elector of Saxony and King of Poland, and he acts as your storyteller, sharing his legacy as you walk. It sits under Horror & Haunts, but it is a light royal ghost story rather than a frightening night tour.
Is this a tour about August the Strong?
Yes. The whole walk is told through the eyes of August the Strong, who leads you to places tied to his city and his legacy, including the Coselpalais, the Residenzschloss, the Zwinger's Crown Gate and the Goldener Reiter, with historical clues and real-world puzzles along the way.
Where does the quest start and finish?
It starts at the Rathaus Dresden (New Town Hall) and finishes at the Canaletto-Blick (Canaletto view), so it does not end where it began. In between you pass 13 more stops, including the Frauenkirche, the Fürstenzug, the Semperoper, the Cathedral and the Augustusbrücke.
How long does it take and how far do we walk?
Most players take around three hours, walking and puzzles included, over a route of about 3.3 km. You can start whenever you like and pause along the way, so it is easy to split up with a coffee or a meal.
Can we play as a couple or a group, and what if it gets cold?
Yes, it works well for couples, and one ticket covers the whole group playing together. If the weather turns cold, you can pause and go inside to warm up at almost any location on the route, then carry on when you are ready. No attraction tickets are needed.
